#ShowYourReel Tweetdown

#ShowYourReel Tweetdown

So, I've decided to start a Twitter Xperiment using hashtags. As a media professional, one of the most vital factors affecting your economic status is the quality of your reel or portfolio. However, establishing a good reel can be difficult. It depends largely on the depth of your network of peers and resources. Do you have access to the tools and/or knowledge to put together a bad ass reel? If you don't, how do you go about acquiring these things? How can you get constructive feedback on your work? Who are the really talented folks out there that you'd like to work with or learn from? These are all things that come to my mind as we develop infrastructure to make it easier for underrepresented groups of people to enter media related careers.

So, I'm encouraging ALL of you and your friends to join me in the  #ShowYourReel Tweetdown. Post links/comments, etc to your reels or portfolios on your Twitter feeds with the hashtag #showyourreel. If we can get to 30 or more, I'll put together a group of judges and for grins, we'll award the winner with a $10 iTune's gift certtificate. Hopefully, we'll get to see some cool work and maybe even learn something new. Who knows? Somebody might even get some work. There are no geographic limits on this, so get in where you fit in.
